Mars Gaming and Vitoria welcome the finals of WESG Iberia

On November 10 Vitoria received its first eSports event: the WESG Iberia finals in the Fernando Buesa Arena multipurpose pavilion. Professional players of Dota 2, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone and Starcraft II competed to qualify as the best in Spain, Andorra and Portugal, moving then to the European final in Barcelona and being eligible for the grand final in China. The European final will be held in Barcelona on the next 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th of November, and will classify the best European players to compete in the final in China in December. For now, the winners in the WESG Iberia finals, which took place in Vitoria, were the Wololo and Best Boniato Ever teams for CS:GO, the ThunderX3 Baskonia team from Vitoria, which qualified for the European final of Dota2, Kaisercillo and Arya, champions of Hearthstone, and Majestic, who won at Starcraft II.

The event was a success with 50,000€ in prizes, the attendance of more than 2,000 fans who showed up to cheer on their favorite players and an online follow-up of the competitions with nearly 75,000 views on the Twitch channel of the tournament.

With this activity Vitoria debuts as a host city for electronic sports events, thanks to the support of the Diputación Foral de Álava, the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz and a whole series of brands including Mars Gaming.

Our brand collaborated with the WESG by providing its MGC2 chairs to equip the players and ensure the realization of the tournaments, guaranteeing total comfort so that participants could compete at the highest level without worrying about anything else.
